COVID-19
The Elkhorn Yacht Club leadership is continually working to ensure the safety of all Club members. With the rapid spread of COVID-19, we are taking precautions and direction from the orders of the County of Monterey Health Department, the State of California, and the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a result, we have made a number of changes as follows.
Social distancing and wearing masks are a requirement. Practice social distancing by putting space between yourself and others. Face masks are required by ordinance on all parts of the property (annex, workshop, etc). Seating in any area is limited to 6 persons per table/seating arrangement. It is a requirement to wear a mask at all times when not seated or eating. This extends to all outside areas.
Please practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (CDC).
-
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
-
Clean and then disinfect frequently used surfaces
-
Stay home if you have a fever or cough
-
Avoid touching your face.
Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is open for members only. No indoor dining. Masks must be worn and practice social distancing at all times. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer are provided throughout the building.
Outdoor Patio Service
We are currently providing minimal dining experiences outside the Clubhouse. Members may bring one guest per membership. No reciprocal privileges at this time. A meal must be purchased with a drink. You are encouraged to join us on Fridays for appetizers and Saturdays for burgers. You can check the times for these activities on the website. Our patio and outside lawn are also available for off-hours if you choose to relax out by the harbor.
Racing with Additional Safety Enhancements
Racing is still open to members. You can find a list of up-to-date racing activities and events on the website. Face coverings are required by State and local ordinances within 6 feet of crew that are not part of the same household. Social distancing and masks should be maintained on the docks.

All board meetings are currently being held through Zoom. You are welcome to attend these monthly meetings conducted on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 am. Contact Commodore Toni Scarborough at who will provide you with the access code.
